Autonomous Channel Selection Method by aggregating data in WLAN

(in English) In recent years, information terminals equipped with wireless LAN functions are increasing more and more. As a result, it is expected that many wireless terminals will have more opportunities to connect to the same wireless LAN access point, and there is a concern that the throughput will decrease. Therefore, to enable the simultaneous communication of many terminals while ensuring communication quality, we investigated improving the frequency utilization efficiency. First, using the channel scanning function provided in the Wi-Fi communication module microcomputer ESP32, the wireless terminal grasps the channel usage status a short time in advance and selects the least used channel. Furthermore, ESP32 is classified into AP mode terminal and STA mode terminal, and AP mode terminals command STA mode terminals and collect data from multiple STA mode terminals. Collected data is transferred in a batch through a dedicated transfer channel. We proposed the above communication system and confirmed its feasibility by actual measurements.
