Study of optimum conditions for tilt optical transmission on Multiband Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing networks

(in English) Multiband WDM networks are being considered to increase the capacity of optical networks. However, the power transition between wavelengths due to stimulated Raman scattering affects the optical transmission design and quality, making the introduction of such networks difficult. A method to transmit the entire optical signal with tilt to suppress the effect of stimulated Raman scattering is being considered. To realize this method, the signal must be tilt-corrected by the transmitter and receiver optical amplifiers. However, since the signal-to-noise ratio deteriorates depending on the tilt-correction amount of the optical amplifiers, it is necessary to select the appropriate amplifiers and the ratio of tilt-correction amount shared by the transmitter and receiver optical amplifiers. In this study, we measure the change in SN with respect to the amount of tilt correction of the optical amplifiers and introduce an appropriate configuration.
