Implementation and evaluation of blockchain-based wireless base station sharing method.

(in English) The authors have studied a wireless base station (BS) sharing method using blockchain in order to reduce the deployment cost of wireless network. Blockchain enables high secure coordination and integration of wireless BS without centralized control station. By using blockchain, a user terminal (UE) and BS can make a connection contract, UE can use many BSs in an autonomous and decentralized method without a centralized control station. In this paper, we implement the proposed method for smoothing the number of accommodated UEs and evaluate its performance in an indoor environment to confirm the feasibility of the proposed method. Evaluation results show that the proposed method can improve median throughput by smoothing the number of accommodated UEs and wireless BS sharing using blockchain is feasible on actual devices.
