A Study on the Effects of Serration Loaded on Waveguide Chokes

(in English) Serration structure, in which periodic slits are installed in the waveguide flange, is known as a method of suppressing leakage electromagnetic waves from gap. However, there are many design parameters for serration structure, and sufficient studies have not been reported on design parameters such as serration arrangement position, shape, and periodic pitch. Therefore, in this study, we performed a detailed quantitative evaluation of various design parameters of the serration structure. A design guideline for the serration structure was obtained from the electromagnetic field simulation.
