Routing in LSI layout design is divided into two stages: global routing and detailed routing. In global routing, a path with a short total wire length within capacity is determined. By the way, route search for cars finds a route with a short travel distance while avoiding traffic jams, so traffic jams can be alleviated by changing the route of a car running around a traffic jam. Since this is similar to global routing, we propose a method that only removes partial path that pass through congested edges, unlike ordinary rip up and reroute that removes the entire path. Then, a comparison experiment between the proposed method and the method using ordinary rip up and reroute is performed on 16 circuits. As a result, the total overflow was large in the four circuits where the total overflow was greater than 0. On the other hand, in the 12 circuits where the total overflow was 0, the total wire length was longer, but the computation time was the same or shorter. |
