The diagnosis of cognitive impairment can be performed using functional imaging techniques such as PET and SPECT, which can show the function of the brain. However, mild cognitive impairment that have only subtle changes may be misdiagnosed. Additionally, current computer-aided diagnosis systems for cognitive impairment are complex combinations of classical image processing methods at cross-modality translation and position correction and may not have high diagnostic accuracy. In this study, we propose a method that using deep learning to simultaneously perform conversion between cross-modalities and registration. We incorporated additional information and a loss term for position correction into the widely used U-Net structure in medical imaging. We conducted experiments using a dataset of MRI and PET images from the same patients to verify the effectiveness of our proposed method. |
