Small Signal Transfer Function of Duty Cycle LLC Current Resonant Converter
Himawari Adachi, Terukazu Sato (Oita Univ.) EE2022-58
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents the results of a study on the small-signal transfer function of an LLC current resonant DC-DC converter that utilizes the resonance phenomenon between a inductor and a capacitor. LLC resonant converter is widely used in various electronic devices such as servers and display devices because of the advantages of compact, lightweight, high efficiency, and low noise. Pulse frequency modulation (PFM) is typically used to control current resonant converters, however it has disadvantaged that filter must be designed for the lowest switching frequency. Therefore, the frequency characteristics were analyzed by controlling a resonant converter with pulse width modulation (PWM) using a double voltage rectifier circuit to achieve output voltage stabilization.
