In this study, we attempt to apply HoloLens, a head-mounted display for augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR), to the medical field. As one of the applications, a 3D model of the hand bones is created from CT images of the hand, and the hand joint tracking data (total of 24 joint points) acquired from HoloLens is used for alignment and scale calibration, and we developed a 3D anatomy book (3D human anatomy display system) that enables users to observe the 3D model of hand phalanges from various angles in a mixed reality. As a result, the possibility of a 3D anatomy book with better learning effect was suggested. |
