With the global shortage of food and the increasing demand for a safe and secure food supply, the focus of attention has shifted from the traditional fishing industry that catches fish to the fishing industry that fosters fish. On the other hand, in the IT field, IT technologies such as IoT, AI, and 5G have made remarkable progress. In this study, we focus on offshore aquaculture, which is one of the fastest-growing aquaculture industries, and propose "Aqua Colony" as a fully automated method by using smart technology. As one of the functions of the Aqua Colony, we have developed an automatic feeding system that utilizes an aerial drone and an intelligent fish tank to automate the conventional method of artisanal feeding. |
