| (in English) | Opportunities for conducting discussions and expressing opinions on the Web have continuously increased. It is desirable to fully understand not only discussion results but also the discussion processes in order to successfully understand this type of discussion. Especially, it is important to understand both the main points of discussion and opinion trends together rather than superficial discussion results. However, such understanding is often difficult since the number of utterances increases as time passes and discussions become complicated. In this research, we aim to develop methods of visualizing discussions in comments against Web news for comprehensive grasp of the main points of discussion and opinion trends. In this paper, we mainly describe methods for generating discussion summaries and outline the support system. We also discuss the features of our methods based on the results of experiments using the prototype. | |
