| (in English) | Fillers in speech, such as “uh”,“um”,etc. do not have meaning in themselves, but have various effects in communication. However, in situations such as presentations, where listeners are required to understand and accurately convey the speaker's information, these fillers may give the speaker the impression of being unprepared or lacking concentration, which may have a negative impact on smooth information transmission to listeners. In this report, we analyze the functions of fillers during presentations and present the results of a questionnaire survey on impressions of fillers. Based on the results, future research methods are discussed. | |
