Yamazaki et al. proposed a learning method called Self-Organizing Incremental Neural Network (SOINN). This method is an online learning method that dynamically constructs a network and learns samples sequentially. However, it is difficult for SOINN to retain a variety of features in high-dimensional data while maintaining noise tolerance. Specifically, some of the features are deleted, unnecessary nodes are inserted, and ambiguous nodes are generated. Therefore, this study incorporates node and edge reconfiguration methods from the network configuration model of Complex Network. In addition, we aim to improve the stability of the SOINN space and identification rate by expanding the threshold region to prevent unnecessary node insertion. In the experiments, we compare the identification rate and the number of nodes on the MNIST character recognition problem to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
