Currently, research and development of realization of the 6th generation mobile communication system (6G) are carried out intensively by many organizations around the world. In order to maximize the performance of 6G systems using dynamic control by cyber-physical system (CPS), a technology for estimating and predicting radio propagation characteristics in real time with high accuracy is required. To realize the technology, we proposed the color images method (CIM) as a new method for fast estimation of radio propagation characteristics. In the CIM, detecting paths and calculating received powers or path loss, delays, angle characteristics of scattering waves, are based on the color images of the environments which seen from the transmission and receiving points. Up to now, in propagation loss, we have shown superior estimation accuracy and computation time compared to the conventional ray trace method (RTM). In this report, in order to clarify the estimation performance of the CIM for multipath characteristic, we use the CIM to estimate multipath characteristics such as delay times, angle characteristics and compare with those of Wireless InSite employing the RTM. |
