A Study on Scattered Electromagnetic Field Calculation from Finite Length Conductor

(in English) As the frequencies used increase, such as 5G and 6G, the need to deal with radiation and scattering problems is becoming more important than ever before. Especially when dealing with wireless power, the calculation of radiation and scattering problems is one of the most important topics, and the more complex and large-scale the calculation model is, the more efficient and less computationally demanding the calculation method must be. The more complex and large-scale the computational model, the more efficient and less computationally demanding the calculation method should be. However, if the current flowing on the surface of a conductor is expressed in the physical-optical approximation, it can be calculated simply from the expression for the radiated electromagnetic field created by a finite-length linear current. This allows even novice users to perform quantitative calculations of scattering phenomena using mathematical formulas. In this study, a method for analytically calculating the scattered waves from a finite-length conductor rod is investigated by applying the physical-optical approximation. The validity of the analysis is verified by comparison with the FDTD method.
