Proposal of Neighbor Selection Method by Each Shard Node in Blockchain Network

(in English) Ethereum 2.0 has the sharding framework by which many transaction requests from the users are parallelly processed, and it aims at handling the transactions shard by shard independently. A node in a shard processes the requested transactions and stores the transaction results into a created block, and asks the other nodes in the shard to verify the created block. However, in order to keep each shard from being attacked by malicious adversaries, the shard members in a shard are replaced regularly with an epoch time interval. We propose each shard node keeps its neighbors within its shard members even if its shard members are periodically replaced with those in other shards, aiming that it will enhance the transaction/block propagation speed within each shard. We also propose the number of neighbors located outside the region of a shard node is set to be fewer than the number of neighbors located in the same region, and discuss the effect of this neighbor selection method.
