Evaluation of Multi-Rectenna Channel Estimation Based on Beam-Space Smoothing for Microwave WPT

(in English) This study proposes a passive channel estimation method using the nonlinearity of the rectenna reflection coefficient for the incident power to achieve highly efficient wireless power transfer (WPT) for multiple~rectennas. Assuming that multiple WPT stations transmit power cooperatively or selectively, one transmits pilot signals with different intensities using multiple beams, and the backscattered waves generated at rectennas are pseudo-load-modulated. Then, the correlation matrix of the pseudo-load-modulated signals detected at the others is spatially averaged along the ``beam axis'' to separate and estimate the channels of multiple rectennas passively. Coupled simulation results show that the proposed method offers high channel estimation accuracy and transfer efficiency.
