[Tutorial Lecture] Base Station MIMO Antenna Technologies for Beyond 5G, 6G

(in English) In recent years, investigations and international standardization of Beyond 5G and 6G mobile communication systems have been conducted to further advance the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G). 5G commercial services using the new wireless technology 5G NR (New Radio) are being launched in March 2020 from NTT DOCOMO. This report presents base station antenna configuration developed for 5G, focusing on MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) and beamforming technologies. In addition, base station antenna technology for the future Beyond 5G and 6G is described.
