A Study on Improving Prediction Accuracy of Frame Extrapolation Using Forward Warping

(in English) Recently, many extrapolation models, which predict future frames of video, have been proposed. This study proposes to change the backward warping-based method used in existing models to forward warping for frame extrapolation. The proposed method extracts forward optical flows between frames and predicts future frames by warping. Quantitative evaluation using several objective metrics on the generated frames confirms that the proposed method achieves better results than existing models in some indicators.
