Demonstration of IQ channel multiplexing coherent polarization multiplexing 4ASK signal in downlink transmission with distance difference in access span

(in English) In the coherent PON system, the transmission distance from each optical network unit to the optical line terminal is different, so the optical power required for each ONU is different, which causes the problem of transmission distance difference. We used the adaptive IQ channel multiplexing method, optimizing the power to each IQ axis for two ONU pairs with a distance
difference. In coherent downlink transmission with 10-km access-span length difference between two ONUs, the adaptive IQ channel multiplexing DP-4ASK signal can save the DAC output current of the Q channel from 614-mA to 477-mA for IQbalanced DP-4ASK signal.
