The far-diffracted field of an E-polarized electromagnetic plane wave by a slit in a perfect conducting screen with an infinitesimal thickness is derived by the method of the Kobayashi potential (KP method) and the saddle point method. Calculating the far-diffracted patterns for various edge properties by using a solution that can be incorporated an arbitrary edge property, the convergence of the solution with respect to the number of truncation is investigated. In addition, the electric field distribution on the slit is also calculated by correcting the problem of the calculation code that occurred in the case of normal incidence, and the difference with the convergence of the far field is examined. |
