This paper proposes a new near-field transformation method with a two-dimensional cylindrical scan. The new method is based on the Born approximation and has features below: (1) the near-field (NF) can be pre- dicted from measured NF samples, where the measurement distances from a target under test to a transmitter and a receiver can be different, (2) the computation time of the method is less than 5 hours for a large target whose size is about 400 times of the wavelength, and (3) the implementation of the code simply includes the fast Fourier transformation (FFT), inverse FFT (IFFT), and three-dimensional tensor operations. The algorithm of the method has three steps: (1) the IFFT is implemented with the NF samples measured in a cylindrical scan surface, (2) the samples with the IFFT are multiplied by a novel weighting factor, and (3) the NF is predicted by taking the FFT of the weighted samples. The proposed method is numerically verified. The transformation to a far-field from the NF samples has been already reported. This paper proposes a method for predicting the NF at a different measurement distance from the NF samples. Key |
