In this paper, we propose an orthogonal frequency multiple access (OFDMA)-based full-duplex wireless powered communication network (WPCN). Multiple users operating in full-duplex mode harvest energy from a signal transmitted from an energy transmitter (ET) and simultaneously transmit information symbols at their allocated sub-bands using the harvested energy. Then, the ET suppresses interference to the information receiver by transmit beamforming. Two beamforming design methods are proposed: one is to maximize the received SINR, and the other is to maximize the sum rate. The power allocation and sub-band allocation that maximize the sum rate are also considered. Simulation results show the effect of each design method by evaluating the sum rate. Also, we compare the performance of the proposed full-duplex WPCN with that of a half-duplex WPCN. |
