Failure Intermediate Node Detection and Notification Methods in Wireless Multihop Network

(in English) This paper proposes novel methods for failure node detection and its notification in a wireless multihop network.
By extension of the conventional watch-dog method detecting incorrect data message transmissions by a failure intermediate wireless node, a cooperative watch-dog method detecting a failure node mistaking a correct wireless node for a failure one and incorrect transmissions of a control message for notification of failure detection is configured.
Here, an additional wireless node, an observation wireless node, is introduced for each intermediate wireless node in a wireless transmission route.
By cooperation among intermediate wireless nodes and observation wireless nodes, not only incorrect data message transmissions but also incorrect failure node detections and incorrect transmissions of failure notification control messags are detected.
However, the extendet cooperative watch-dog method might decreases the route detection ratio due to the strict requirements for the observation wireless nodes.
In order to solve this problem, part of observation wireless nodes might be replaced by connecting wireless nodes with looser requirements.
This extended cooperative watch-dog method is expected to improve the route detection ratio.
