We experimentally demonstrated 2 km and 10 km transmission of 225 Gb/s PAM4 signal using our developed high-speed EMLs with a hybrid waveguide structure. We manufactured 8 samples which covers CWDM4 wavelength range. All the samples achieved more than 3.5 dB of extinction ratio, and more than 7 dBm of modulated facet output power. Eye diagrams after transmission were observed with 5 taps of TDECQ reference equalizer. After 2 km transmission, clear eye diagrams were observed in CWDM4 wavelength range. After 10 km transmission, clear eye diagrams were observed in LAN-WDM wavelength range. Also, we successfully obtained chromatic dispersion dependence of TDECQ. |
