Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) As the amount of information increases, the communication speed through connectors for interconnecting electronic devices is increasing. Differential lines are used as wiring to connect LSIs and connectors. The TX line on the transmitting side and the RX line on the receiving side are adjacent on the printed circuit board (PCB). The purpose of this study is to clarify the effects of signal transmission and crosstalk in the differential line when the signal speed is increased in the line model with a bend in the differential line. Signal transmission characteristics affected by the meandering structure and NEXT and FEXT are studied in a differential line model with a meander structure on the transmitting side and a straight line on the receiving side.8-port mixed-mode S-parameters are used to study signal transmission characteristics, NEXT, and FEXT. Since resonance occurs in the meandering structure, the transmission characteristic Sdd31 of the meandering line model attenuates the signal in the frequency band above 7GHz compared to that of the straight-line model. The reflection characteristic Scd11 of the meander line model increased by 20dB from that of the straight-line model, and the common mode component increased. In crosstalk, FEXT decreased and NEXT increased in the meander line model. In terms of time response, FEXT has a smaller meander line model than a straight line, and NEXT has a larger amplitude. It is considered that the crosstalk increased in NEXT due to common mode reflection generated in the meandering structure.
