Performance Evaluation of Uplink Simultaneous Transmission with Multiple Panels for 5G-Advanced

(in English) This paper investigates transmission performances of simultaneous transmission with multiple panels (STxMP) where user equipment (UE) simultaneously transmits uplink data with multiple antenna panels for release 18 (Rel-18) which is the initial release of 5G-Advanced being standardized in 3GPP (The Third Generation Partnership Project). In Rel-18，as one of enhanced uplink multiple input multiple output (UL MIMO) technologies，STxMP will be introduced to realize high reliable communication by simultaneously transmitting uplink data with multiple antenna panels. In this paper，we evaluate the performances of STxMP under the environment where blockages exist in millimeter wave band and computer simulation confirms that degradation of transmission performance is suppressed by 16.8% - 24.9% at 5%ile UE throughput compared with the environment without any blockages.
