| （英） | Social recommender systems have been proposed to improve the effectiveness of various recommendation services, which have become ubiquitous in modern online platforms. However, the lack of user control over the recommendation process can result in ethical concerns and decrease of user satisfaction. In this paper, we argue for the necessity and importance of user control in social recommender systems, based on a comprehensive summary of the current literature in this area. We introduce a prototype user interface for a user-controllable social recommender system that incorporates various user control features to personalize and filter recommendations based on users' preferences and social context. Then, we discuss the feasibility and implications of the proposed user interface. Our study contributes to the literature by highlighting the importance of user control in social recommender systems and providing insights for future research and development in user-controllable recommender systems. | |
