Learning Effects of Lathe-Turned Model Product using 3D Printer for Manufacturing Education

(in English) When teaching a classroom course on machine tools, machined brass or stainless steel parts are brought into the classroom. One of the concerns is that it is necessary to prepare several similar machined parts for all the students to observe. However, it is difficult to prepare them in an actual educational setting due to time constraints. Therefore, we thought that it would be possible to teach students about machine tools in the classroom by using a 3D printer to reproduce models of machined parts and distribute them to the students. This time, a lathe was used as a subject, and a model of a lathe workpiece was prepared for the class. From what was learned in this lesson, we will consider the usefulness of the educational method using a model of a machined part in manufacturing education.
