[Special Talk] Evaluation Items and Measurements for Amplifiers

(in English) There are many evaluation items for microwave amplifiers such as gain, noise figure, intermodulation distortion etc. and the measurement setup is complex. Additionally, there is an increasing demand for evaluation using modulation signals that closely resemble actual operating conditions. On the other hand, in recent years, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) have evolved to support not only simple S-parameter measurements but also nonlinear measurements. In this session, measurement techniques utilizing VNAs for such measurement items will be presented while also highlighting important considerations.
