Satellite for Topography Application Research with SAR

This satellite is a microsatellite aimed at observing natural disasters such as flooding and landslides using synthetic aperture radar, while at the same time investigating the possibility of reducing the size of synthetic aperture radar satellites via modern technology. The satellite will provide high-resolution and frequent observations and build a database based on the data collected from Japan and Taiwan to assess the area and scale of damage during disasters when optical satellites are not available, and to provide the necessary information to the government and local authorities. After the Japanese and Taiwanese databases have been established, data from Southeast Asian countries will also be collected to provide information to developing countries that do not have effective means of observation and are vulnerable to natural disasters, thereby eliminating inequalities between countries. |
