NTT has been proposing an IOWN space integrated computing network concept. We focus on coverage extension using non-terrestrial network (NTN) for cellular network in the beyond fifth-generation/sixth-generation wireless. NTN consists of geostationary orbit (GEO) satellite, low earth orbit (LEO) satellites, and high-altitude platform stations (HAPS). As for frequency, 38-GHz band is allocated to the feeder-link of HAPS for the communication with ground base stations. However, this band is significantly affected by rain attenuation, which in turn affects the quality of communication services. To improve availability of NTNs, we have proposed a novel traffic control algorithm by using inter satellite/HAPS links (ISLs). In this paper, We proposed a routing method suitable for transparent relay and we evaluated the availability of each user terminal when using the proposed method. |
