Experimental study of vital sensing using 300GHz band sub-terahertz wave -- Remote measurement of hertbeat information --

(in English) The terahertz wave has both characteristics, permeability of radio and high-resolution of light, and it is expected to be utilized for imaging the subject behind obstacles and high-resolution sensing which detects minute fluctuations. One of the solutions which using the high resolution of terahertz-wave is remote vital sensing. Currently, to verify the feasibility of remote vital sensing using terahertz wave, the authors construct the experimental system and measure the vital information. This paper shows the high-resolution displacement analysis performed for the aforementioned result and reveals that it is possible to extract the precise heartbeat information by detecting body surface displacement due to heartbeat.
