(in English) The Department of Advanced Media in the Faculty of Advanced Engineering at Chiba Institute of Technology conducts interdisciplinary education with a focus on three domains: media engineering, knowledge engineering, and information design. This paper discusses the background of the department’s establishment and its diploma policy, as well as addressing the current status and challenges of project-based learning in the form of the exercise courses Advanced Media Project 1 and Advanced Media Project 2, which embody the distinctive feature of integrating multiple domains within the department.
