The brain activity can be considered as circuit network activity in the gray matter, and a small current is then generated in the corresponding area. Brain activity is observed as changes in scalp surface potential, and is used preoperative diagnosis of brain disease. EEG and MEG are the most commonly used non-invasive methods for measuring brain activity. It is significant to study brain activity estimation using EEG, which has higher mobility but lower spatial resolution than those of MEG. One of the approaches to estimate the brain source is to use inverse problem using computed induced electric field corresponding to the brain activity. Simplified human head models have commonly been used due to computer resources. However, recent improvements in computer performance have led to the use of high-resolution human head models for brain activity estimation. In this study, we used a source estimation algorithm in an individualized human head model using EEG to estimate the source location and calculate the current density. |
