(in English) With the expansion of large power conversion equipment such as solar power generation and electric vehicles, various demands such as high power, high efficiency, and miniaturization are increasing for switching mode power supplies. As power supply control by existing methods approaches its limits, digitalization is attracting attention. Twenty years have passed since the start of sales of power supply controllers with built-in microcomputers, and they have come to be used in many products, and their applications continue to expand. This presentation will clarify the features and scope of application of power supplies that utilize digital signal controllers, and explain the types and implementation methods of digital control in power supplies. In addition, the operation of a digital power supply equipped with the latest devices will demonstrate the expansion of the flexibility and application range of the digital power supply.
