Study on Request Sending Order for ICN-Workflow

(in English) With the recent advancement in network virtualization technology, Service Function Chaining (SFC) has gained significant attention, not only for network functions but also for various tasks in a general-purpose manner. As applications become more complex, demand has emerged for workflow-type SFCs in addition to the traditional sequential function chaining. In this context, we introduce "ICN-Workflow" as a workflow-type SFC using Information-Centric Networking (ICN). The order in which tasks within an ICN-Workflow send requests to invoke preceding tasks directly influences the assignment of tasks to nodes and subsequently impacts the overall processing time of the workflow. This paper investigates and proposes an ordering method to reduce the completion time of the entire workflow. Additionally, through simulations, we analyze the characteristics of different request-sending orders.
