Resource Allocation Optimization in Multi-User NOMA Systems Using Higher-Order Hamiltonians

(in English) Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is a next-generation communication technology in which multiple users share a single wireless resource. The resource allocation problem in NOMA systems, where up to two users are multiplexed onto a single channel, can be formulated in terms of a fundamental Ising Hamiltonian, which can be described by up to second-order interactions. In NOMA, it is possible to multiplex more than three users on a single channel in a good communication environment. In this paper, we derive higher-order interactions and external magnetic fields for the optimization of NOMA systems with more than three multiplexed users per channel, and show that for small-scale problems, good solutions that are close to exact solutions can be obtained, and that solutions can be obtained very quickly.
