Optimal Power Levels in Grant-Free Power-Domain NOMA for mMTC

(in English) This paper optimizes the number of power levels in grant-free power-domain NOMA (GF-NOMA) for massive machine-type communications (mMTC) to minimize transmission power while providing larger throughput than a specific required value.
Our proposed optimization framework has a more accurate analytical throughput expression proposed in our previous work than existing expressions.
The key idea enables the number of power levels to be minimized.
Our results showed that the proposed framework achieved 29% smaller power levels than the existing framework.
