Polar codes have high error correction capabilities and are used in the control channel of 5G.
There are several decoding methods, one of which is Belief Propagation (BP) decoding.
BP decoding of polar codes involves calculating the likelihood on a factor graph.
A decoding method has been proposed that utilizes the characteristics of polar codes and uses graphs obtained by permuting parts of the factor graph.
It has been shown that the decoding performance improves by calculating the likelihood on graphs obtained by different permutations in each iteration of BP decoding.
In this draft, we apply the permutations to the subgraphs of the original factor graph and demonstrate through computer simulation that the decoding error rate improves. |
