A core selective switch (CSS) is the building block for modular spatial cross-connects (SXC) in future spatial channel networks. We analyze the inter-core and inter-port crosstalk generated in an SXC based on a CSS. In addition, we demonstrate the feasibility of the variable optical attenuation function in a CSS. |
