In this report, how to calculate the bit error rate of zero-forcing Tomlinson-Harashima precodded (ZF-THP) MIMO communication system using QR decomposition (QRD) with greedy permutation is studied. The ZF-THP schemes use the QRD to construct a precoder. Theoretical bit error rate of this type of ZF-THP MIMO system can be precisely calculated since a probability density function (pdf) of each subchannel gain is known. On the other hand, concerning the ZF-THP using QRD with greedy permutation (Greedy ZF-THP), which has been developed to improve the performance of ZF-THP MIMO systems, statistical property of each subchannel is not specified; therefore, theoretical bit error rate cannot be calculated precisely.
This article reports the study of average bit error rate on the Greedy ZF-THP MIMO system. |
