An Investigation of the Performance of Large-scale Generative Language Models on Subjective and Objective Emotion Estimation

(in English) The cost of annotating datasets is often an issue in natural language processing tasks. One way to reduce costs is to use machine learning models for automatic annotation, and the availability of large-scale generative language models has attracted much attention in recent years. In this study, we conducted annotation using GPT-3.5, one of the large-scale generative language models, on WRIME, a dataset of subjective and objective sentiment analysis. Based on the experimental results, we confirmed the validity and trends of the annotations, and discussed the possibility of using generative large-scale language models for automatic annotation.
