Analysis of Humorous Response Generation Using ChatGPT

(in English) In this study, we analyze the generation of humorous responses using ChatGPT in order to realize a dialogue system that generates humorous utterances during chat with a user.
Specifically, we generated "Boke-Tsukkomi" utterances, one of Japanese humor, using ChatGPT in a dialogue context, and evaluated them for the user. In this experiment, we evaluated the generated "Boke-Tsukkomi" utterances for 1,344 dialogues. As a result of the evaluation, we confirmed that ChatGPT is capable of generating appropriate and funny "Boke-Tsukkomi" utterances through dialogue, and that ChatGPT has sufficient ability to generate humorous responses for use in a chat dialog system capable of generating appropriate "Boke-Tsukkomi" utterances. We also confirmed that ChatGPT has sufficient ability to generate humorous responses. From evaluation results, we confirmed that the generated humor responses can be classified into several patterns.
