Pedestrian flow simulation is an effective approach for predicting human behaviors and movement patterns in practical scenarios such as event management and disaster evacuation planning. However, the interpretation of simulation results requires a proper understanding of the relationship between control parameters and predictions, as the outcomes can vary based on the parameters used in the simulation. In cases where multiple evaluation metrics are used to assess prediction results, there exists a trade-off among these metrics, making it challenging to uniformly interpret the relationship between control parameters and predictions. In this paper, we propose a method that converts multiple evaluation metrics into a single unified metric using linear combinations. This method enables the visualization of the relationship between control parameters and prediction results using Parallel Coordinates Plots. Through experiments involving the adjustment of weights assigned to each evaluation metric, we demonstrate that different trade-offs require varying important control parameters, and these differences can be visualized effectively. |
