Multi-Rectenna Separate Passive Channel Estimation Based on Independent Component Analysis for Microwave Wireless Power Transfer

(in English) This study proposes a passive channel estimation method based on independent component analysis for maximal ratio transfer to multiple rectenna separately in microwave wireless power transfer.
The proposed method generates a pseudo-load modulation signal using the nonlinear response of each rectenna by transmitting pilot signals with multiple beam patterns and different power intensities.
By applying independent component analysis to the received pseudo-load modulation signals, the channels of multiple rectenna are implicitly separated and individual channels can be estimated.
This paper quantitatively evaluates the applicability of the proposed method and clarifies the number of beams and power values suitable for highly accurate channel estimation and highly efficient power supply based on the results of numerical analysis.
