A routing protocol (RP) LEACH is representative in a wireless sensor network (WSN) and requires the valid number of relay nodes for a longer lifetime. It often happens that a proposed RP introduces new parameters without showing its impact. In the previous report, we have proposed a novel routing EEUCS obtained by combining two RPs EEUC and EECS. The consideration there, however, is not sufficient. This report reconsiders EEUCS through more simulation experiments for six WSN models seen in LEACH, EEUC and EECS papers. First, for EEUCS, we have taken over parameters used in those papers. It turns out that such parameters do not always provide a longer lifetime. Next, we have adjusted parameters by many trials and errors and achieved a longer lifetime. Besides, for fair comparison, we have revised parameters used in LEACH, EEUC and EECS. As a result, for six WSN models EEUCS provides almost the same longer lifetime as EEUC and/or EECS. |
