(in English) In recent years, the acquisition of vital signs daily has been considered necessary to prevent lifestyle-related diseases. Currently, a standard method for blood pressure measurement is compression measurement using a cuff, but this gives the subject a feeling of pressure and restraint. This study used, flexible, lightweight and simple hetero-core optical fiber sensor to investigate a cuffless blood pressure measurement method. As a study of measurement sites, pulse waves were detected in arterial areas such as the neck, ankles, elbows and wrists, and the estimated values of blood pressure using the pulse wave propagation method were evaluated. A regression line was obtained from a single regression analysis, and the calculation results using the obtained blood pressure estimation formula were compared with the maximum blood pressure of a reference sphygmomanometer.
