Y-shaped Micro-Flow Phantom for Superficial Micro-vessels Imaging: Novel Fabrication Protocol.

(in English) Flow phantoms are considered as simulation test beds in optimization of ultrasound imaging sequences. Straight channel micro-flow phantoms had been reported in optimization of high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS) in visualization of superficial micro-vessels. However, to observe the intricate vascular morphology, flow phantoms need to be adapted to mimic the superficial complex micro-vessels. Here, we proposed a novel fabrication protocol to develop a Y-shaped micro-flow tract comprised on a parent branch bifurcated into two daughter branches at depth of 5 mm to mimic the superficial micro-vessels. As a proof of concept, HFUS Doppler imaging was performed to visualize the fabricated micro-flow structure.
