[Poster Presentation] An FDTD fast analysis method for electromagnetic wave reflectors in the 30 GHz band
Yuri Otaki, Takuji Arima (TUAT) AP2023-108
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Next-generation mobile communications use radio waves in the 30 GHz band, which is higher frequency than the existing mobile communications. However, 30GHz band has a problem that because of the short propagation distance, the blind zone such as the shade of a building where the radio waves cannot reach is likely to happen. To solve this problem, the reflective arrays which scatter radio waves from base stations to multiple directions have been developed. But the FDTD method is used for this development, which means that it has the disadvantage which it needs a long calculation time. In this study, we present a fast analysis method for electromagnetic wave reflectors using the FDTD method with the surface impedance method using the lossy dielectrics.
