[Poster Presentation] Effects of mutual coupling on wireless power transmission

(in English) In recent years, wireless power transmission technology, which uses radio waves to transmit power to terminals, has been attracting attention. In wireless power transmission, it is required a highly efficient power supply to the terminal. In addition, the excessive radiation of radio waves to the human body causes a health hazard. As a countermeasure, array antennas are used to control directivity using the Directionally Constrained Minimization of Power (DCMP) method. In array antennas, the directivity is distorted due to mutual coupling between antenna elements, which may reduce the power-feeding efficiency and irradiation avoidance effect. In this report, the influence of mutual coupling on the power feed efficiency and irradiation avoidance effect in wireless power transmission is discussed by electromagnetic field analysis.
